DR. FREDERICK R. BAUSCH, one of Allentown's leading physicians, was born in this city, June 8, 1879, the son of Frank H. and Sadie (Cole) Bausch. He was educated in the public schools and was graduated from the Allentown High School in 1898; from Muhlenberg College in 1900, and the University of the South, at Sewanee, Tenn., in 1904. The following year he was elected resident physician of the Pittston Hospital and afterward located in Allentown, where he enjoys an extensive practice. He is an active Republican, and in 1911 was elected a councilman from the First Ward. He is a member of the Board of Tuberculosis Dispensary, No. 51, Department of Health of Pennsylvania, and a member of the United States Board of Pension Examiners of Lehigh County, having been appointed in 1909 by President William H. Taft. Doctor Bausch is connected with the following medical societies: Lehigh Valley Medical Society ; Lehigh County Medical Society ; Pennsylvania State Medical Society; the American Medical Association; and is one of the active members and president of the Academy of Medicine, of Allentown. He is an active member of the Y. M. C. A.; St. John's Lutheran Church, and the following lodges: Barger Lodge, No. 333, F. and A. M. Pittston Royal Arch Chapter, No. 242; Allen Comandery, No. 20, K. T.; Rajah Temple, A. A. O. N. M. S.; Reading F. M. C., No. 804; Order of Heptasophs; Allentown Lodge of Elks, and the Loyal Order of Moose. On June 10, 1908, he married Mabel Rebecca Deisher, a daughter of Jacob and Rosa (Schmoyer) Deisher, of Allentown.
