ROBERT A. REICHARD, manufacturer of fertilizer and dealer in hides, tallow, etc., was born in Hanover Township, February 4, 1875, a son of George J. and Susanna R. (Mutthardt) Reichard. He was educated in the Allentown public schools and the American Business College, and later learned the machinist's trade. He continued working at his trade until 1900, when in a small way he engaged in the business of which, at the present time, he is a leader in eastern Pennsylvania. His two plants, one at Allentown and the other at Bowers, Pa., employ a large number of men and ship their products to all parts of the country. He also manufactures poultry powders at the Allentown plant. Mr. Reichard is a public-spirited citizen and is a member of the Chamber of Commerce, Jordan Lodge of Masons, Knights of the Mystic Chain and the Clover Club. In 1900 he married Sadie M. Roth, of Allentown.
