Troxell, William O. - M. D.

WILLIAM O. TROXELL, M. D., one of the leading spirits of the Lehigh County Medical Society, was born in Emaus, Pa., May 11, 1884. He was educated in the public schools, later on pursuing a special course in the Keystone State Normal School, at Kutztown. In 1904 he was graduated from the Philadelphia College of Pharmacy, and in 1908 from the Medico-Chirurgical College, at Philadelphia. He first located at Macungie, Lehigh County, and practiced there until he came to Allentown in the fall of 1911. He succeeded Dr. W. J. Hertz at the corner of Second and Liberty Streets. Doctor Troxell is, to a great extent, interested in playground work throughout the city, and, as a physician, has been a great friend of the poor in his section of the city. He is a man of personality and character; ranks high in the esteem of his fellow physicians, and is a member of the staff of the Allentown Hospital. He is a member of Lehigh Lodge, No. 326, F. and A. M.; Emaus Order of Owls; Friendly Lodge, I. O. O. F.; the Chamber of Commerce, besides being connected with the local and state medical associations. In 1912 he married Lillian F. Schuler, daughter of H. T. and Annie (Stephens) Schuler, of East Texas.
